Crap, the Yellow Bird Bit the Dust

Use the programs here to crack your passwords, or try these:

User: admin
Password: 7UprUtew

Once you unlock your Gizmo, you can take it to ViaTalk and use the BYOD plan to avoid the activation fees.

By Popular Demand, the Crack Programs

There have been so many requests, I'm going to post the files that you need to crack the admin passwords on the AC-211-N and AC-211-SR.

The first program you need to run is the AC-211 Crack, then input the number it finds into the CRC16 Search. Together, they will give you the current admin password of your AC-211-SR/N Gizmo.

I did not create these programs, and I will not be held liable for any problems caused by using them.

Here they are:

CRC16Search.zip
AC-211-Crack.zip

*Edit - Thanks to Jeff in Kalamazoo for picking up that I had the program execution order reversed.

Firmware! Get Your Firmware Here!!

As I outlined below, one of the many advantages of having the admin password to your Gizmo is the ability to upload new firmware.

For the AC-211-SR, the most current version is 4.62.14 (both APP and LDR). For the Innomedia, it's 3.0.77.

The links are below, and remember, use with caution:
For the AC-211-SR, you need both APP and LDR. Download LDR to the Gizmo first, then reset, then download APP, then reset again.

AC-211-SR 4.62.14 APP
AC-211-SR 4.62.14 LDR

Innomedia 3.0.77

I don't know if the AC-211-SR firmware will function in the AC-211-N. Try searching on DSLReports.com or SunrocketForums.com before attempting this.

Why you (might) need the administrator password

Some people have been asking what benefits there are to having the administrator password to their Gizmo. Truth be told, if you're a normal, everyday user, you probably don't need it, unless you're curious about the inner workings of your Gizmo.

But, if you're a "power user", if you've left Sunrocket to go with another provider and you want to unlock your Gizmo, you will need it. Some of the things that can be done with the administrator password are:

  1. Edit your SIP settings, useful if you're moving to another VoIP provider.
  2. Change your dial plan, useful if you want to replace 411 with 1-800-FREE411.
  3. Upgrading your Gizmo's firmware. Maybe you've got call quality issues, and have read on DSLReports.com or SunrocketForums.com that a firmware upgrade will solve them.
  4. Enable or disable CODECs.
  5. Many others...

Remember, changing settings without knowing what they do can render your Gizmo a brick, so do so with caution.

One important tip: If you've gone into your Gizmo and tweaked some settings, make sure you turn off autoconfiguration. Otherwise, your settings will be lost the next time the Gizmo "phones home", and you may also lose administrator access if Sunrocket chooses to change the administrator password.

Important Notice

This will be updated as the need arises. If you have new or updated passwords for the various Gizmos that are out there, please let us know. Note that we don't condone the misuse or abuse of administrative access to the Gizmo, and we will not be held liable for any damage that may be caused by using the passwords presented here. Use at your own risk. These passwords are current as of the date of their publication.

That said, I've been a Sunrocket VoIP customer for 1 year now, and love it. I've renewed for 2 more years, and plan on keeping their service as my primary household phone.

Needed: Linksys ATA and AC-211-N Passwords

If you have the admin passwords to either of these devices, please let me know.
